The Mission of ABWA is:

To bring together businesswomen of diverse occupations and to provide opportunities for them to help themselves and others grow personally and professionally through leadership, education, networking support and national recognition.

Join us in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on April 24-25, 2009 and network with movers and shakers from District I.

Basic Membership
Join ABWA as a national basic member and you’ll receive all the benefits of being part of the Association, including a subscription to the award-winning Women in Business® magazine and access to professional development and networking opportunities. And if you’re a business owner or have an entrepreneurial spirit, you’ll be eligible to participate in ABWA’s Company Connection®.

As a national basic member, you may choose to become involved on the local level, too, by affiliating with an ABWA chapter in your area. Chapters offer a strong community service and philanthropic focus, with monthly meetings centering on educational, networking and fund-raising programs. Chapter members gain valuable experience and leadership skills in a supportive environment by managing meetings, working on committees, managing fund-raising projects and speaking at chapter functions.

Are you a full-time college student? If so, you can get a jump-start on opening career doors and preparing for your entrance into the workforce by taking advantage of ABWA membership for students. The Association offers vast networking, credential building and mentoring resources, all at an affordable student price.

Annual basic membership fee: $75; annual basic student membership fee: $35. Additional local
dues may apply; see local chapter for specifics.

Express Network® Membership

The Express Network membership option is geared toward the busy professional who wants advanced networking and business skills training opportunities. Join ABWA as a national Express Network member and you’ll receive all the benefits of Association membership, plus exclusive Express Network member services such as an online database, message forum, networking events, professional development resources and monthly online newsletters to keep you in touch and ahead of the game. Also, if you’re a business owner or have an entrepreneurial spirit, you’ll be eligible to participate in ABWA’s Company Connection.

As a national Express Network member, you also may choose to become involved on the local level by affiliating with an ABWA Express Network in your area. Streamlined Express Network meetings usually are conducted conveniently during lunch or breakfast. Focusing on professional development, local meetings often are facilitated by industry leaders and contain a strong networking element to help you grow your own network of contacts.

If you are a full-time college student, you can get a jump-start on opening career doors and preparing for your entrance into the workforce by taking advantage of ABWA’s Express Network student membership.

Annual Express Network membership fee: $100; annual Express Network student membership fee: $50. Additional local dues may apply; see local Express Network for specifics.
